This towel was handwoven on a nineteenth century barn loom. I measured the warp, threaded the heddles, sleyed the reed, beamed on, wove the towels, and finally cut each one and sewed the hems by hand.
From start to finish, I make my towels by hand.
This towel is made of undyed cotton in the warp with dyed cotton in the weft.
The cotton is soft and sturdy, and becomes more absorbent with time.
A lovely housewarming or wedding gift.
